St Clair Kindergarten was established in 1914, and is located in the residential area of St Clair, close to the beach and the esplanade. We enjoy strong support from our families and value the sense of community this relationship brings to the kindergarten.  We moved into a brand-new purpose-built kindergarten on the same site of our original building in January 2019. Children attend kindergarten 8.30am – 2.30pm Monday to Friday and currently the kindergarten closes for term breaks.

Itinatakda ng Code ang matataas na pamantayan para sa etikal na pag-uugali na inaasahan ng bawat guro; inilalarawan ng Mga Pamantayan ang mga inaasahan ng epektibong pagsasanay sa pagtuturo. Sa appointment bilang isang guro sa loob ng Dunedin Kindergartens mayroong isang inaasahan na palagi kang susunod sa mga halaga sa loob ng code at matutugunan ang Mga Pamantayan para sa Propesyon ng Pagtuturo.

Specific Requirements as a head teacher

Of particular importance to this community are a head teacher who:

• Is a leader with an ability to relate to the diversity of families the kindergarten serveModels and expects professional accountability and collective responsibility for the wellbeing and learning of all children in the kindergarten; ensuring that joy and learning go hand in hand
• As a leader fosters a cooperative environment, encouraging staff input, celebrates others strengths and values working as part of a small team
• Pinapanatili ang isang optimistikong pananaw, na nagbibigay-inspirasyon sa iba na yakapin ang pagbabago at mga hamon nang may sigasig
• Nagpapakita at nangunguna nang may pangako sa Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Ay isang epektibong pedagogical leader para sa pagtuturo at pagkatuto at panloob na pagsusuri
• Implements and evaluates systems, processes and practices that promote ongoing improvement
• Has a willingness to work positively and sensitively in professional partnership with the committee/ wider Dunedin Kindergartens community
• Proactively promotes a positive kindergarten profile within the community
