Description de la communauté

St Clair Kindergarten was established in 1914, and is located in the residential area of St Clair, close to the beach and the esplanade. We enjoy strong support from our families and value the sense of community this relationship brings to the kindergarten.  We moved into a brand-new purpose-built kindergarten on the same site of our original building in January 2019. Children attend kindergarten 8.30am – 2.30pm Monday to Friday and currently the kindergarten closes for term breaks.

Specific Requirements as a head teacher

Of particular importance to this community are a head teacher who:

• As a leader fosters a cooperative environment, encouraging staff input, celebrates others strengths and values working as part of a small team
• Maintient une vision optimiste, inspirant les autres à accepter le changement et les défis avec enthousiasme
• Démontre et dirige avec un engagement envers Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Est un leader pédagogique efficace pour l'enseignement, l'apprentissage et l'évaluation interne
• Implements and evaluates systems, processes and practices that promote ongoing improvement
• Has a willingness to work positively and sensitively in professional partnership with the committee/ wider Dunedin Kindergartens community
• Proactively promotes a positive kindergarten profile within the community
