Dunedin Kindergartens is seeking an exceptional Head Teacher to lead our team at Portobello Kindergarten. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a kindergarten where children, whānau, and community are the heart of all we do, while being supported by the strength and connection of the wider Dunedin Kindergarten (DK) community.

About the role

As Head Teacher, you will provide educational and professional leadership. You will lead a teaching team committed to high-quality early childhood education and work collaboratively across the wider DK network to advance teaching excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a leader who:

• Brings strong pedagogical leadership and a deep understanding of early childhood education.
• Has a deep awareness of Te Whāriki and high-quality learning outcomes for tamariki.
• Builds positive trusting relationships with children, whānau, colleagues and community.
• Leads with warmth, integrity, and clarity.
• Embrace continuous improvement and reflective practice
• Values collaboration and being part of something bigger than a single kindergarten.
