Community Description

St Clair Kindergarten was established in 1914, and is located in the residential area of St Clair, close to the beach and the esplanade. We enjoy strong support from our families and value the sense of community this relationship brings to the kindergarten.  We moved into a brand-new purpose-built kindergarten on the same site of our original building in January 2019. Children attend kindergarten 8.30am – 2.30pm Monday to Friday and currently the kindergarten closes for term breaks.

Our Code, Our Standards
The Code sets out the high standards for ethical behaviour that are expected of every teacher; the Standards describe the expectations of effective teaching practice. On appointment as a teacher within Dunedin Kindergartens there is an expectation that you will always adhere to the values within the code and meet the Standards for the Teaching Profession.
