Community Description:

Historic Kelsey Yaralla Kindergarten is situated in the heart of the university on the banks of Owheo.
Our spacious learning environment is dynamic and well resourced, supporting children to be independent and confident learners. The beautiful outdoor space lends itself to the seasonal landscape and truly reflects a children’s garden which is what kindergarten means.

In 2023 Kelsey Yaralla Kindergarten reorganised to a full day kindergarten providing a safe and nurturing service for children to learn through play from 8.30am to 5.00pm. Therefore, we are seeking a motivated and dedicated kaiako to join this newly developed supportive and well-resourced team.

Our Code, Our Standards:

The Code sets out the high standards for ethical behaviour that are expected of every teacher; the Standards describe the expectations of effective teaching practice. On appointment as a teacher within Dunedin Kindergartens there is an expectation that you will always adhere to the values within the code and meet the Standards for the Teaching Profession.

Specific Requirements:

Hours of work are 8 hours per day (1 hour lunchtime is unpaid)
