K3 Senior Teacher Position – 1FTE
Dunedin Kindergartens is seeking an experienced and passionate সিনিয়র শিক্ষক to join our team and support high-quality teaching and learning across our network of kindergartens.
This is a key professional leadership role working alongside our teaching teams, Head Teachers, and Chief Executive to strengthen practice, build capability and ensure children and whānau experience rich response of early childhood education.

About the role
The Senior Teacher invites professional leadership and mentoring to teaching teams across our kindergartens. The role focuses on strengthening teaching practice, supporting leadership capability, and ensuring consistent high-quality learning experience for tamariki.
Working across our kindergartens, the Senior Teacher will:
- Provide professional leadership, mentoring and coaching for teachers and Head Teachers.
- Support the implementation of Te Whāriki and effective teaching practice.
- Work alongside teams to support curriculum, assessment and planning.
- Support professional growth cycles and development.
- Build strong relationships with teachers, whānau and communities.
- Contribute to association-wide priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Support kindergartens in meeting regulatory requirements.
This role involves working across multiple kindergartens and collaborating closely with our leadership team.
About you
We are looking for someone who brings both deep professional knowledge and strong relational leadership.
You will have:
- A recognised ECE teaching qualification current Teaching Council practicing certificate
- Significant experience in early childhood teaching and leadership.
- Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki and effective pedagogy.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, and supporting teacher development.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with teaching teams.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- A commitment to equity, inclusion and culturally responsive practice.
A passion for strengthening early learning outcomes for tamariki will be central to your work.
